One of the multimedia technologies I have been using in my classroom for many years is augmented reality. This technology excites me because it can extend the classroom and create more engagement. It lets educators and instructional technologists supplement other teaching objects with additional instructional content.

With the right application of augmented reality, you can create wonderful effects like those in the wonderful world of Harry Potter. Your books and magazines will be able to talk to you. In this episode, I begin by defining what augmented reality is. From there, we explore ways augmented reality is currently being used as well as ideas for the future. Finally, we will look at ideas for using augmented reality in your classroom.
