Scared to Death, I Have Launched a Podcast
(Last Updated On: )

After all these years, it was time to start my own podcast. It has actually been difficult to get to this point but finally, the wisdom of those who already have podcasts rang clear. I needed to just start. And so I have, in spite of my fears.

In the Classroom podcastLast weekend, I launched my first two episodes of In the Classroom with Stan Skrabut. This podcast will focus on the lessons I have learned as I try to create more engaging classrooms for my learners. This podcast begins with an inside look into my online multimedia development class. Not only will I share the strategies I used for creating the class but I will also share my interpretation of the content in the class.

Since most of my classes focus on instructional design and instructional technology principles, I will be highlighting these concepts throughout the different episodes. The audience I am trying to reach is certainly the students in my class because I want to provide them with content in multiple ways. I also want to share what I have learned with other educators and instructional technologists.

In the Classroom episodes will be released each week on Monday morning. Each episode will run for approximately 20 minutes depending upon the topic.

The whole idea of creating a podcast has made me both excited and uneasy. For some reason, it seems different than the videos and blog posts that I have created. Perhaps it is because I am committing to a regular schedule. But I understand that for me to grow, I need to take risks.

I encourage you to check out this podcast. You can find it on iTunes, Google Play, and Stitcher. Naturally, you can also find it through the Podcast link at the top of this page.

If you have ideas that you would like me to explore for you, let me know. I want this to be useful for you. Follow along and let me know what you think.
