If I was going to write a book on productivity for online educators, The Productive Online and Offline Professor is the book I would write. It is packed full of great tips and strategies for getting back more time in your life so that you can better serve your students and others.

Bonni Stachowiak, the host of the podcast Teaching in Higher Ed, has written this wonderful book on educator productivity. It is a guide for online instructors who wish to have a greater impact without burning out.

The book focuses on five key areas:

  • Translating Intention into Action
  • Facilitating Communication
  • Finding, Curating, and Sharing knowledge
  • Leveraging Technology Toward Greater Productivity
  • Keeping Current

In this episode, I review the book by touching upon the highlights of each area. It is certainly a book that should be in your library. I definitely think that all educators could benefit from reading The Productive Online and Offline Professor.
