Have you ever gotten lost in something you really enjoyed? When I am playing my favorite games, normally World of Warcraft, Starcraft II, or Diablo III, I can lose track of time. This is in a great part due to the gaming elements use to put the game together. These elements tend to work well for the brain. What if we could apply these same principles to our instruction?

In this episode, we will explore games and gamification in the classroom. Primarily, I will be focusing on gamification. Additionally, I will share the strategies I use for my classes and different programs to help gamify your course.
I have discovered that using game design elements in my courses have made them more enjoyable and I am seeing positive results.
