If you are like me, you put together a number of goals for 2016. If you are like me, you have struggled to achieve those goals for one reason or another. Let me share with you two books that are helping me make a significant dent in my goals.
What I have learned in these two books have helped me prioritize and schedule my goals to a point I am actually feeling successful in my pursuits and not overwhelmed.
Based on a recommendation, once again from Entrepreneurs on Fire, I picked up the book The 5 A.M. Miracle: Dominate Your Day Before Breakfast* by Jeffrey Sanders. I have to say that I’m very pleased with the book. Basically, this one book pulls together everything that I’ve been trying to implement all in one place. I have been keenly interested in doing a better job managing all the different balls I have in the air. As a result, I have been reading a number of books like The 5 AM Miracle, and most recently, Brian Morgan and Michael Lennington’s book, The 12 Week Year: Get More Done in 12 Weeks than Others Do in 12 Months*. Each of these books focuses on a reduced schedule to plan and execute goals. I am using them to better plan my various lives—work, volunteer, and personal. Read more
As a result of these books, I have some wonderful charts on the wall behind me to help keep me on task. In only two short months, I am seeing the results of this new system of tracking my goals.
