Truth be told, our team is still small — but mighty. I’m Stan Skrabut, the founder of Tubarks Consulting, and I bring over 25 years of experience in instructional design, technology integration, and business consulting. I’m joined by my longtime collaborator (and secret weapon) Bernadette van der Vliet, owner of BMT Design. We’ve been a team for more than 25 years — she’s the one who makes me look good!
While Tubarks Consulting may have started in social media consulting, our experience working with small businesses through Cooperative Extension taught us something important: business owners need clear, supportive guidance to adapt to new technology. Now, we’re doing the same thing — but with AI as the game-changer.

The Name Tubarks
A lot of people ask about the name.
“Tubarks” actually started as the name for one of my World of Warcraft characters — Tubarks the Tenacious, a gnome rogue. It’s also my last name spelled backward (now you know!). Like Tubarks the Tenacious, I’m all about learning, resilience, and helping others — values that I now bring to every client relationship.
