My first day of the Association for Talent Development International Conference and Exposition (ATD-ICE) was the ATD Leaders Conference (ALC). ALC allows chapter leaders to network and learn from each other. I have enjoyed these opportunities. This year’s event was no different.
This year’s ATD-ICE and ALC was held in New Orleans. I am starting to become more familiar with the city. Last year, I also had a conference in New Orleans, which was only a few blocks away.
Traveling to New Orleans
I took the train to and from Providence. It took me about 36 hours each way. I love train travel. It is an opportunity to relax and collect my thoughts. I have the privilege to experience a new route on this trip. The Cresent train goes between New York City and New Orleans.
The train ride provides me with an opportunity to read and write. I did a lot of both. Back to the the first day.
ALC Sessions
Each day, I recap my day with a video. Additionally, I craft blog posts for each session and complete a trip report for each conference. Below, you will find links to the blog posts I wrote for the sessions I attended.

I found value in each session. I am now sifting through my notes to determine actionable items. These items will show up in my trip report.
Networking
One of the most rewarding parts of attending conferences like ATD-ICE and ALC is the connections you make. It was enjoyable reconnecting with people I met last year or through presentations and local chapters. I made new connections this year and introduced a few people to local chapters. I look forward to seeing them around the ATD circuit.
I look forward to sharing what I have learned with my chapter. Please contact me to know more about anything I have shared.
Before I go, I am pleased to report that the Central Mass Chapter earned an ATD Chapter Excellence Award for Membership Engagement. My chapter rocks!
