We can easily be overwhelmed as instructional technologists by all the requests for assistance that we receive. By using a strategy called “working out loud,” I have been able to help more people with better quality assistance. Working out loud is a force multiplier strategy.

In short, working out loud is about sharing what you know about a topic for the benefit of others. Many of the authors I read and podcasters I listen to advocate for helping others get to the next level. I am a fan of this philosophy.

Working out loud not only helps me provide immediate support to the individual in need, but I am also able to assist others as they search the internet for answers to their questions.

In this episode, I will be sharing the strategy I use for working out loud as well as the insight I have gleaned from others. Finally, I will share perceived benefits from working out loud.
