Finding the right content to get in front of an audience is always a concern. Syed Balkhi, co-founder of OptinMonster and the creator of WPBeginner, provided this Social Media Marketing World audience with a solid list of blogging tools for generating traffic and subscribers.

Idea Generators

Answer the Public – Answer the Public is one of my favorite tools for generating ideas. After entering a query phrase, Answer the Public will generate auto-suggest results from Google and Bing. A great tool for finding out what others want to know.

Lead Builders

Try Interact – Try Interact is a lead generator that uses quizzes. The paid versions will integrate with your email service provider as well as Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel.

YouTube Subscribe Bar – This WordPress plugin was created by Balkhi. The plugin automatically adds a “Subscribe to YouTube channel” bar below every YouTube video. Unfortunately, I was not able to get this plugin to work on my site; however, I was able to get ytSubscribe to work. I am now using it on my site.

OptinMonster – OptinMonster provides different types of opt-in forms for your website as a strategy to build contact lists. The goal is to change visitors into subscribers and subscribers into customers.

Beacon.by – Beacon.by is a lead magnet creation tool. With Beacon.by, you can quickly create an attractive PDF or Web ebook using the content on your website or Hubspot.

One Signal – One Signal is a free push notification service. Basically, it will let subscribers know when new content is released. The notifications could show up on a phone or desktop.

Analytics

MonsterInsights – MonsterInsights is a WordPress Google Analytics plugin that brings the analytics to your WordPress dashboard. It will allow you to keep an eye on outbound links, top pages, top keywords, and much more.

Keywords and SEO

Yoast SEO – Yoast SEO is a tool that I am using on my sites to help provide better content. It allows you to do keyword optimization, control for duplicate content, internal link suggestions, page redirect, and keyword management. It is a tool I use for every blog post.

WP Forms – WP Forms is a WordPress plugin that allows you to drag and drop to build forms. The tool has spam protection and integrates with common email service providers.

SEO Rambler – SEO Rambler will let you see how your site ranks on Google for keywords.

SEM Rush – SEM Rush is a tool for seeing top URLs and keywords for a competitor.

Buzzsumo – Buzzsumo is a great site for seeing what is trending. With the tool, you can see what content is performing. By analyzing this content, you can see what is going to work for you.

Ahrefs – Ahrefs is a powerful tool to help you understand why your competitors are ranking in traffic. It will show you what keywords your competitors are ranking on. This will help you decide what content you should be producing.

Content Creation

Lumen5 – Lumen5 is a great site for creating videos from your website, images, or a collection of videos. Just enter a website link and you can start to build a quick video to highlight your key points. This video can then be shared on your other social media sites. Great way to repurpose blog content for YouTube.

This is a great set of blogging tools that will make your life easier as you work to build traffic.
